Class Information for 2023-2024
The Preschool is in session Monday through Friday from August until May with the exception of designated holidays and breaks. Each school day begins at 8:45 a.m. and concludes at 12:00 p.m. with optional morning and afternoon enrichment programs (concluding at 1:15 p.m.).
Children must be twelve months by August 31, 2023, (birth date 9/1/2021 through 8/31/2022) to register for the Toddler classes. The classes meet two days per week (Tuesday/Thursday), three days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or five days per week (Monday-Friday) Toddler classes have a 10:2 student teacher ratio.
Children must be two by August 31, 2023, (birth date 9/1/2020 through 8/31/2021) to register for the Two-year-old classes. The classes meet two days per week (Tuesday/Thursday), three days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or five days per week (Monday-Friday). Two-year-old classes have a 12:2 student-teacher ratio.
Children who will be three by August 31, 2023, (birth date 9/1/2019 through 8/31/2020), may register for the three day classes (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or five day classes (Monday-Friday) . The classes have a 14:2 student-teacher ratio.
Children who will be four by August 31, 2023, (birth date 9/1/2018 through 8/31/2019) may register for the three day classes (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or five day classes (Monday-Friday) . An extended five day class is also offered. The extended class dismisses at 1:15 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and at 12:15 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. Pre-K classes have a 16:2 student-teacher ratio.
Children who will be five by August 31, 2023, may register for the Five/Six classes. The classes meet five days per week (Monday-Friday). On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, the classes meet until 1:15 p.m. Dismissal is at 12:15 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and when Peachtree Afterschool is not in session. Five/Six classes have a 18:2 student-teacher ratio.
Class Assignments
In creating class groupings, consideration is given to boy/girl ratio; age range is considered for Toddler, Two-year-old and Three-year-old class placement.
The Preschool will place twins in the same class unless the Director is notified in writing by June 1, 2023, of the parent's desire to separate them.
Peachtree Presbyterian Preschool does not honor teacher requests or class placement requests from parents.
